A Fridge with Your Luxury Vintage?

Would you like a fridge with your luxury vintage? Well Ideal Wine Company has discovered customers got exactly that when they bought from Penfolds Grange.

Ideal Wine Company Values Penfolds Grange Wines
We have one rule here at the Ideal Wine Company when it comes to choosing the right luxury wines for our customers. They have to be outstanding. That means we have wines from a select number of vintners on our product list.

Penfolds Grange is one of them. An Australian wine, it is made predominantly from Shiraz grapes, often with a small amount of Cabernet Sauvignon blended in. It is often considered the land down under’s “first growth,” and therefore arguably it’s most collectible wine.

With Every Six Bottles, Get a Discount on a Wine Cabinet!
Now it appears as if the vintner is pulling out all the stops to truly clinch the title of Australia’s most popular wine as well. According to Sydney Morning Herald, as part of the Treasury Wine Estate’s latest promotional drive, they are offering customers a discount on a wine cabinet with every six bottles of its bin or luxury bottles that they buy.

It’s a genius move, and underscores why we love Penfolds Grange so much; they’re creative. It appears that customer agree, as according to the Sydney Morning Herald, 12,000 people have taken advantage of the deal. Specifically, it allows them to purchase a 30 bottle Vintec wine cabinet for the reduced price of AU$200, instead of AU$650.

A Genius Marketing Move for Both Participants
Unfortunately, the deal was only available to customers in Australia. We also say ‘was,’ because it officially ended today (30th July), so don’t be expecting to cash in on it anytime soon. However, we appreciate it because it really is a stellar marketing move.

Figures suggest that sales of the fridge from the offer just on its own, means that Vintec has shifted as many units as they usually do in the whole year. It’s also helped to boost the popularity of the Penfolds label.

So you’re not going to get a wine fridge; the offer’s ended. That doesn’t mean you shouldn’t invest a bottle of the finest vintage Penfolds Grange has to offer. If this offer should tell you anything, it’s that when you buy from this vintner, you’re certainly in for an experience!

This gorgeous white originates from the picturesque village, Saint-Esteohe, located less than 40 miles north-west from Boudeaux.

In 1992, Jean-Claude Rouzaud, oenologist and Board Chairman of Champagne Louis Roederer, acquired and combined two Cru Bourgeois vineyards in the heart of the Medoc's prestigious Saint-Estèphe appellation: Château Picard and Château Beauséjour. Together, these properties make up what is now called "Château Haut-Beauséjour."

“A blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot and Malbec.” When Charteau Beausejour hits the back of your throat, it sparkles with rich, oaky flavour on your tongue.

The quality of this wine is on par with many of the more expensive ranges, but it comes at the reasonable price of £48.

Who Has the Best Wine List in the World?

The hotel with the best luxury wine list in the world has been revealed, and this week Ideal Wine Company lets you know who achieved this honour and why.

We Know Luxury Wine Here at the Ideal Wine Company
We get luxury wine lists here at the Ideal Wine Company. We should; after all, the Ideal Wine Company exists to bring you some of the most exquisite wines from all around the world, at a price you can actually afford.

That’s why we get just how much goes into a truly spectacular wine list; you need variety, quality, luxury etc. So, without further ado, who has the best wine list in the world?

Congratulations To…
According to the New York Daily News, the Palais Coburg, in Vienna, Austria, was awarded the top spot - out of 4,000 wine lists considered – on the World of Fine Wines first ever ranking of the World’s Best Wine Lists.

And their stock is certainly impressive. This mega-luxurious five star hotel has a wine collection with bottles dating back as far as 1727, and a total of six themed wine cellars; Yquem, Rarities, Champagne, New World, Old World and, of course, France.

An “Almost Dauntingly Complete Wine List”
In bestowing the title on the Palais Coburg, the judges applauded the luxury hotels cellar for being “almost dauntingly complete, completely eye-boggling and jaw-dropping," and with the French cellar boasting over 30,000 luxury bottles alone, that title is well deserved.

Perhaps the most impressive vintage on this star wine list is the double magnum of 1865 Chateau Lafite-Rothschild. One of the rarest and most valuable wines in the world, if you ever have the chance to try it, you simply must – one sip is the experience of a lifetime.

Obviously, we don’t have wines quite of the calibre of the 1865 Chateau Lafite-Rothschild, but you will find a wine list of luxury, quality and affordability here at the Ideal Wine Company

Wine Helps Artists ‘Unleash the Imagination’

At the Ideal Wine Company we finally have proof of what we’ve always known; according to a Boston Globe article, wine helps you ‘unleash the imagination!’

Buy your luxury Wine from the Ideal Wine Company
Here at the Ideal Wine Company we look to provide you with the finest bottles of luxury wine for prices that won’t break the bank. You’re sure to find something you’ll love on our product list.
As such, we’re pretty big wine drinkers ourselves, and we have to admit, a few of us on the Ideal Wine Company team have had an artistic turn or two after a glass of our favourite luxury bottle. We may be no artists, but in our opinion, we’ve found that a glass of chilled white or gut-warming red is all the inspiration we need, to aid us on the way to achieving our (admittedly not that good) artistic endeavours.

Welcome to ‘Paint and Sip’ Classes
So that’s why a recent article in the Boston Globe immediately caught our eye. The article spoke to commercial artist Marin Samatis about her ‘paint and sip’ classes.
It’s exactly what you think it is – you learn how to create fabulous masterpieces whilst quaffing down a glass or two of your favourite tipple. Samatis explained to the Boston Globe that whilst painting can be really fun and therapeutic, it can be a little intimidating for a novice.  That’s why a glass of wine helps bring out the artist in you; it relaxes you, so you can focus on what you’re doing, not how intimating taking up a paintbrush is.

The Hidden Artist in All of Us
In her own words, Samatis explained to the publication that “there’s a hidden artist in all of us,” however “sometimes we need a little encouragement to unleash our imagination.”  That’s why the ‘paint and sip’ concept has become so popular.

Here at the Ideal Wine Company, we simply adore the idea of the ‘paint and sip’ classes. Why be intimidated by learning to paint, when you can break out your favourite label, indulge in a glass or two, and relax enough to have at it. If you want to try the paint and sip technique with a quality wine, Ideal Wine Company is here to help!

What’s The Deal with Red Wine: Is It Good for You?

With all the rumours floating around, we want to answer one question once and for all here at the Ideal Wine Company; is red wine good for you?

Welcome to the Ideal Wine Company
At the Ideal Wine Company we bring you some of the finest quality luxury vintages for prices that won’t break your bank balance. As such, we inherently understand that for the veteran wine drinker, it’s not just a passion; it’s a lifestyle.

In truth, for many people, red wine is an integral part of their lifestyle; it’s quite normal to have the odd glass with lunch, or dinner, or relax by the fire with a nice bottle of red on a cold winter’s night. Many people do so in the belief that red wine is good for us.

Red Wine: Bad for the Unborn!
Lately, however, the news columns have been full of theories, hypothesises and guess work over the reality of the situation; some experts are pointing out that red wine is full of resveratrol, a type of anti-oxidant, which makes it especially good for you.

Others are refuting this claim, one such example that made the Daily Mail last week, was that the ‘healthy’ part of red wine damaged unborn babies; obviously though, you probably shouldn’t be indulging in a glass when you’re expecting anyway.

Red Wine Helps Prevent Heart Attacks
So what’s the truth in all this? Well an article from the Telegraph shed some light this week on just what anti-oxidants can do for you; they can prevent heart attacks!

It’s true. According to the article, the antioxidants such as the aforementioned resveratrol, flavonoids and polyphenols that are traditionally found in the skin of red grapes, especially when they’re grown at really high altitudes, have been shown to prevent damage inside of blood vessels, as well as inhibit blood clotting cells (platelets), meaning clots are less likely to form.

Which Red Wines Should You Be Drinking?
So, it’s been proven that in some cases there really are health benefit to a glass a day of red wine (again!). Which wines should you be drinking? According to the article, antioxidants are highest in Chilean Cabernet Sauvignon; a Chilean red produced at high altitudes. However antioxidants are also fairly present in other red wines, including pinot noir and petite Syrah (Shiraz) grapes.

Several of these types of red wines can be found on the Ideal Wine Company product list, and if you want to buy a quality luxury wine, with health benefits, at a reasonable price, you should check it out today.
